Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one modality used in East Asian medicine to treat dis-ease in the body. With acupuncture, an imbalance of Qi (life force energys) and blood flowing in the meridians (energy highways) is considered one of the causes of dis-ease. By regulating the flow of Qi and Blood, harmony can be restored to the body.
Japanese style acupuncture is a more gentle use of needles and relies on experienced palpation, or touch, to find active points on your body. This minimizes the number of necessary needles and strengthens the treatment.
I understand that problems may exist on multiple levels and it may take time to determine the underlying issue. For example, pain in the shoulder could be from a repetitive injury or it could be a symbolic message from the body calling out for interpretation.
Acupuncture is a transformational medicine. As such, my treatments aim to give breath to the healing power that is already inside you. The most authentic healing requires your time, patience & willingness to explore new paths to better health.
